I am open to the land being used for something that will help connect the village and the park area. Perhaps a community theater

Bad idea to make that corner more commercial. Really bad idea.

That intersection is already backed up frequently. Adding more commercial development will only make it worse. Most ambulances traveling to Huntington Hospital have to pass through this intersection and more traffic will cause delays that could cost lives.

Doesn't E. Main have enough space for medical offices already? What it doesn't have enough of is open space.

Ever since I've lived in this area for almost 70 years I've loved the way that intersection has looked with the historic buildings there. It would be a shame for that to change.

Huntington is one of our communities that needs to maintain the history and sentiment of Long Island. Please...NO COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT. Developers should focus on restoring the beauty of Huntington village and Huntington Station...leave the historic and cultural areas alone...leave the legacy of Huntington for all future generations.

Dvelop some where else. The impact on this area will be a drain to the people who live close to this intersection. There is something special about walking past all of the blue signs of history.

I grew up in Huntington two blocks East of this corner and would absolutely HATE to see anything else in it's place. Leave Huntington as it is and keep it's small town charm.

I am horrified by all the developmental changes that this town has undergone over the past year. It is clear that the leadership of Huntington does not care to protect it's beautiful historic nature.

The Town of Huntington was founded in 1653. We have a beautiful town that is rich in history. It is imperative, that this history be preserved for present and
future generations. Once, something is eliminated,it can never be replaced.
Wouldn't it be nice to create a facsimile of Platt's Tavern. People travel to
Colonial Williamsburg to experience a day in colonial life. Isn't it time for our elected officials to think outside the box! It makes one wonder who is really benefiting from another walk in medical building.

Another medical complex? Definitely against the idea. We think it could be used, as a previous writer noted, for a historical building or monument.

It is such a shame, so many unused buildings or open areas of no significance and developers want to build in the historic areas. This should not be.

The site in question is part of a beautiful historical area, which adds to the special appeal of Huntington Village and should be protected. It would be a very appropriate purchase under the Environmental Open Space & Park Fund. I strongly oppose the building of a medical complex. More appropriate would be a recreation of Platt's Tavern, combined with a Visitor's Center!
This is hysterical and should remain Intact
