I went to hinds ahs 1979 when no other school would accept me because I transferred from out of town. They really made a huge difference in my life.

Close Raymond High School or force the Kids to stay in their respected school zone. Just 50 years ago Hinds A.H.S was the life line for many rural hinds county young peoples. Hinds County public school district has figure it out more students pass or fail, more money from Federal Government. It all about the money. I faulted the parents from these small communities Edwards, Bolton, and Utica.

Please reconsider closing a school with this great legacy. It is not only a school, but the history that it imparted will never be duplicated. This school is the only truly predominately African American school in Utica, Mississippi. Closing it will be a great lost for our community.

I graduated from Hinds A.H.S in 1989. My brother and sister followed me years later then years after them my kids graduated from the very same school. Hinds AHS has been a scholastic tradition within my family. Please reconsider closing because this school is a historical landmark for us who attended.

This was the place where I began to learn many of the things that made me the woman I am today! With that being said, I'll forever be indebted to the administration, staff, & student body of the years 2000-2004 because they made an impact on my life! Furthermore they motivated me to want to be a positive influence on other individuals around me. All in all, this school taught me and I'm sure several others, what it meant to have morals and values so PLEASE DO NOT PREVENT IT FROM MAKING A DIFFERENCE in another persons' life.

I am a proud graduate of Hinds A.H.S and the class of 2005 salutatorian. It would be sad to see the end to such a great school because some people do not see or understand its worth.

Save hinds ahs !! I love going to all their track meets and football games. Where are all the students going to go ? The people over at state just want hinds to close anyway . If coach strong was to stop letting the bad people in and start accepting some people that are really going to do their work and things in that nature. Hinds would be a better and wonderful place . I wanted to attend hinds but I see know I can't. Besides if the students all go to raymond fights and things are going to happen everyday . Save HINDS AHS. I bleed Maroon and Gold !!!!
