Hello. I am a freshman in college working on a final project for one of my classes. Specifically, I am trying to spread the word about the need to make college more affordable for everyone.
I am requesting your help in spreading the word by collecting signatures to use in a letter to the leading presidential candidates. Since one of them will most likely become the new leader of our country, I wanted to heighten their awareness of this issue.
Ideally, I would like present college students, former college students and future college students to participate in this campaign. However, since it is clear that high college prices effect the entire family, everyone's participation is welcome. Thank you for your support in joining the fight to make college more affordable and in helping make college a right not a privilege!! The people who sign below officially join the movement of those who want their next president to make college affordable and tackle this issue with full force! Please spread the word, thank you!

I have been reading the stories people are adding to their signatures and the financial pressure everyone is under feels heavier than I ever imagined. These experiences are exactly what I intend to highlight when I finalize the letter for the candidates.

Seeing this grow makes me feel like I am not carrying this burden alone anymore. I started this as a school project but now it feels like a real movement that could actually reach the candidates we need to pressure.

This is an extremely important issue for the future of our kids and grandkids. Every voice in support of this issue is important!
As a High School teacher, I stress the importance of college. It must become affordable so all young people can fully reach their potential without being weighted down in debt.
To vote should be your right and not denied
This would really help out everyone!

my daughter graduates in two years and the tuition costs are just insane. we need a change because nobody should be paying off loans until they are 50.
