By signing this petition, you are going to contribute to a new idea of solving this problem: the development and research of more non-lethal weapons for police officers. For example, imagine a gun that shot volleys of electricity, not nearly enough to kill but only enough to subdue and pacify. Or, perhaps, another form of ranged weapon built to subdue. By giving police more options, it would not only give them more reason to use non-lethal force, but it would give us even more reason to criticise them should they continue using lethal force when it is unnecessary. Police brutality is a very serious problem, and we, as american citizens, need to band together to stop it.
