Our team at Diana Princess of Wales hospital Grimsby are fantastic but dangerously under staffed. They are unable to assist the many parents within our area with their needs for their children. I fear that should immediate assistance with staffing and funding not present it self that we may lose the department altogether. I ask you for your assistance in generating enough momentum to be heard by signing this petition.

I honestly never thought this would reach so many people but here we are and the sheer volume of support for the DPOW team is just incredible to watch unfold. It makes me feel like maybe someone in charge will finally stop and listen because it really feels like the momentum is shifting in our favor even if it feels a bit overwhelming at times.

My 2 granddaughters have both been treated by the department. It is vital to have this service in the heart of the local community. Our children are our future they must have access to a well staffed paediatric department near there home. There is a mountain of research to show people including children thrive better when close to their families
Parent of a Type 1 Diabetic 6yr old boy currently under the team at DPOW hospital
Agree completely the lack of training in diabetic care in our area is awful! It shouldn’t be a postcode lottery for basic needs and care
This team are amazing but they work way too hard they need support. We cannot lose this, service
I myself have 2 children with Type 1 Diabetes and understand the need for this petition
This is a much needed part of our lives

My granddaughter as type one and I have to inject insulin not nice hope you get the support you deserve
