I went to the GVZoo several years ago. Even though I was amazed to see animals I would never be able to see in the wild, I understood that zoos are not good places for any animals native or not.

I went to the zoo with my friend a few months ago. The last time I was there I was a child, I am now 30 when we were there I felt a overwhelming sense of sadness for these animals. Set them free!

It's a pitiful place that abuses animals by holding them captive. They aren't meant to live in captivity in this climate and be neglected by their keepers!

they have rights - no one wants to be imprisoned for someone elses pleasure, especially forcefully. they shouldnt be used for YOUR profit, these animals should be free.

It is a travesty to have such an archaic and cruel institution in this day and age. Let's evolve into a society that values animal freedom and autonomy over captivity and voyeurism at the expense of early death, mistreatment, and suffering. That starts with eliminating zoos, circuses, sea parks and rodeos.

This zoo has such a horrible track record or incidents and deaths... It's conditions are cramped and have little stimulation for the animals. It's one of the more deplorable zoos out there. On top of this, animals are not meant to be put on display for our entertainment. Watch animal planet or the national geographic channel or you tube and learn more about these animals and leave wild animals in the Wild. Those that can't be released into the wild should go to sanctuaries.
It's time to close this animal prison down, and stop supporting animal cruelty.

I am an organizer with Liberate GVZOO Animals, and I am glad to see through the 2 years organizing various visible and less visible actions that other people share the view that animals are not here for our entertainment, and that less than half a percent of profits earned ever going to conservation does not mean GVZOO should get to kill other beautiful animals. Search Liberate GVZOO Animals on Facebook and watch out for us demonstrating there in person! Next peaceful family demo is July 30. :D SHUT IT DOWN!
