Animals should be free, not on cages and not on display. If you pay to see these types of things YOU are part of the problem.

Although I love the zoo, I never knew about all these deaths that could've been handled properly. But some cases were valid, like the tumor.

I live in the late lower mainland and I totally agree. I moved to BC in 1997 and have never visited the zoo. Don't have the heart to see those poor creatures like that.

I do agree with the zoo being closed but these animals shouldn't be put out in the wild because it'll end up destroying them more. They should be moved to a facility that will actually care for them!

It's not right and humain to keep animals enclosed like this. Animals should be free in the wild and people should have to travel to where they naturally belong, rather than them being kept here out of their environment and in the city for human convince.

I used to go here when I was a kid... it has completely gone downhill since then. The prices for entry are clearly not properly going to the care of the animals.
