Profiling based on a dog's appearance needs to end. Every dog no matter the breed, is capable to bite in the wrong situation. A leash reactive dog that's already way over threshold can easily bite their own human. It looks like minds were made up after taking one look at Buffy simply because of what her breed may be. Do better and make this right!

If there is no evidence you should not kill an innocent soul. I have owned pittbulls my whole life and have yet to have an aggressive dog they have all been loyal to a fault and would of died for myself and my family

I’m a Pitbull mom X3 and have experienced breed discrimination countless time! My worst fear is for any one of them to be blamed for something like this where it ultimately was not their fault. Buffy deserve justice!! Had this same exact senario happened with a different breed of dog this would not have been the outcome! Shame on animal control for unjustly impounding this sweet girl! Do better!! #endBLS #dontbullymybreed

This is absolutely outrageous. There is a very specific protocol when a bite occurs. The fact that no examination was performed on the other dog is reason enough to believe there is profiling. I also find it interesting that the other adult in this scenario admitted to physical assault- on both Buffy and her owner. This was still not enough cause to take a serious look at what actually occurred. I know what it’s like for dogs on a bite hold and it’s excrutiating. No human contact besides shoving food in and allowing them to go to the bathroom (sometimes they don’t do that either.) The animal shelter most likely has their hands tied as they have to follow a protocol for all bite reports, guilty or not. I blame the police report and a negligent and lazy officer who didn’t listen. And the ACO who arrived on scene and didn’t take the time to hear all the facts. I am so sorry. I will share this as far and wide as I can!

These dogs, if in a good family, are very good, loving, protective of the family's children dogs. Here is another form of racism. Not all Pit Bull Terriers are vicious, they have been used for years to protect their families. They are loyal, and the people that train them to be guard dogs are part of the problem. No such thing as a bad dog, only bad dog owners. Please see this dog for what he is, trained to protect the family. I highly doubt he would hurt a little dog unprovoked.

Buffy is not aggressive, please return him to his rightful owner. By the way, Buffys owener was beaten up by the maltese dog owner. This is clearly a case where the wrong dog & owner are paying the price though no fault of their own. Our system is seriously flawed. BE the CHANGE and do the right thing by giving Buffy back

Bull dogs are not aggressive. Its not fair to hold this dog hostage because the owner could not figyre out ut was her own dog who bit her. Lets be adults about this issue and agree to disagree and let the dog go home

Review the evidence. Imagine if it were your dog about to be euthanized over something they might not have done.
