It would be wrong and inhumane to sentence the dog to death for a bite that was likely not even caused by this dog. Please do the right thing and allow the owner to take home their pet.

This dog clearly has a good owner the situation is unfortunate. To put a dog locked up for 23 days and if one was to do an assessment on their behavior after being locked up away not knowing what's happened after 23 days they're not going to get a good result most likely I truly don't understand why the owner cannot go and see her beloved pet although I think it would be more heartbreaking to see Buffy and then have to leave. Anyone that owns a pet has a fur baby knows what this feels like yes dogs are categorized pit bulls Rottweilers German shepherds. It's been my experience it's the owners of these breeds and specially pitbulls because they seem to be gotten as status quo for a lot of young people hey I have a pitbull and they don't treat it right the dog attacks possibly maiming or killing another dog or a person then giving the breed a very bad reputation. I don't understand if this is the first incident that this is happened they should not be keeping Buffy. I know of a dog owner in Pacifica whose dog was cited four times before it was finally taken away. And this dog aggressively went after people. I do hope you get your baby back soon.

it's the human fault for provoking Buffy. If you hit me in the head, I would hit you back ten times harder and I would claim self-defense. You put your hands on me first. The other woman should be in jail for assaulting a dog.

Absolutely wrong to euthanaize this dog. I've had large and small dogs and the small dogs were much more aggressive. If a large dog bites it shows much larger marks. Send Buffy home where he belongs. Thank you.

Every day judgement falls without proof and we fail as a society to do right by these animals that we claim to advocate for. I am a concerned citizen petitioning on behalf of a family who just wants their sweet baby back. Circumstances that led to Buffy’s entrapment were out of protection and should not be persecuted and her loyalty should not prove fatal. The eyes of the nation are watching. Please do the right thing. There does not need to be one more unnecessary discrimination and death. Save this sweet soul and return her to her family.

I have a bully myself. He is protective and would only go on defense if provoked by another dog or person. It is not right that these dogs are judged unfairly because of some owners. If it is because of viciousness. Then you would have to start gathering all those little untrained "cute" dogs that are more vicious then these bullys. I don't know how many time I come across owners with their small dogs and lunge and would bite if not leashed. Those little dogs can break skin and cause stitches too.
