No dog should be impounded for protecting his/her person. Any human being would do the same in that situation. #FreeBuffy #BringBuffyHome

This has happened to us in the past. Same situation, we had to fight tooth and nail to get our Jack back all because of his “breed”. Let Buffy go!

Please stop unfairly profiling bully breeds. At the very least investigate the other dog.

Buffy should not be put down based on breed bias as it does nothing to protect people or other dogs. The fact that the Maltese’s owner beat up Buffy’s owner and the bite appears to be from a small dog (i.e., his/her own dog) suggests that the accuser is unhinged and the only dangerous one of the whole bunch. Why not complete a behavioral assessment of both dogs (which would put to test which dog is aggressive, if any)? Then require the owner of that dog to go through dog training classes as a condition of keeping the dog. No breed (large or small) should be exempt from getting proper training and being under the control of the owner when in public spaces. This is an opportunity to educate the folks involved as well as the public rather than act based on prejudice and bias.

If the Maltese’s owner beat Buffy’s owner so badly they’re in a concussion how could the police even consider this Buffy’s fault?? She was protecting her owner if she did bite, but it sounds like the Maltese is very aggressive.

Innocent until proven guilty. There is no evidence to support killing this sweet couch potato

Please release Buffy back to her owner —do not condemn a dog based on breed discrimination—the owner of Buffy was horribly beaten by the other party involved in incident and who appears to be the violent vindictive instigator who is trying to use Buffy as retaliation against her owner — No evidence to prove Buffy bit anyone but the word of a violent instigator! Buffy has not history of aggression
