Please honor BU Terrier, sweet Georgia Dray, with an Honorary BU Degree, to not only acknowledge her hard work getting to college, but for her hard work while at BU. More importantly, ACKNOWLEDGE her existence as a BU Terrier family member and the real struggle that she and so many of our students face. We must remember what we are here for and what we as humans must do - support each other. Never forget the students who come and those who have gone. Please award her this honor so that her peers reflect and move forward with empathy in their everyday lives.

We need to do better so we don’t lose any more angels like Georgia. We know we can if we work together as a team and stop treating mental health and suicides like stigmas. Mental health = physical health =academic health. Let’s keep it real. Time for some radical changes in mental health outreach and supports at BU and most college campuses.

Georgia was a proud terrier who was fascinated by the mind and brain. She was naturally curious and compassionate, and had dreams of making a meaningful difference in the world. Georgia could light up a room and was quick witted. She loved her family and her dog, Buddy, traveling and exploring new places, singing and acting, Marvel movies, archery, escape rooms, and stand up comedy. She was a shining star and is missed beyond words.
