Plea for Boston University: Give Honor Student Georgia Dray Honorary Degree After Tragic Suicide

So sorry to Georgia’s family. I hope the university does the right thing.

BU, please award Georgia with her degree. It would be the kindest thing to do now for her family.

Please award Georgia her degree. It would be a comfort to her parents, family, friends and community.

Please do the right thing and honor the memory of Georgia.

Please grant Georgia’s family with her posthumously awarded diploma. Show the world that her life meant something. Mental health is so often not prioritized for college student who are under enormous pressure on so many different levels. This may mean so much to her family. I lost my son at 19 years old while he was away in college. I am speaking from experience. Please, please reconsider this.

As a BU undergrad, I never even heard about this terribly saddening passing. I can't believe BU has still remained silent. This is so disappointing.

I met Georgia when I just transferred schools in 8th grade, I remember her being so she so kind, so sweet, and so smart. Sending my condolences to her family, Georgia will be missed I hope the university does what’s right by her family and allows her legacy to live on!
