Although many people have heard that Styrofoam is terrible for the environment, not many people know the details. Styrofoam can take 1,000,000 years to degrade. With that number, we will soon have to expand landfills as we use Styrofoam. It can also hurt humans. A scientific study shows that chronic exposure to polystyrene leads to further complication, including adverse effects on the nervous and respiratory system, and possibly the kidney and liver.
