The incarceration and ill-treatment of Anthony Kletzander by Nua Healthcare is absolutely scandalous and unconscionable. It should not be allowed in any society with any pretense to being civilised

Taking away Anthony's method of communication is a breach of his human rights. As a future speech therapist I hope to help fight this kind of blatant discrimination and prejudice.

This is awful. What has he done wrong that he shouldn't be allowed basic means of communication in whatever format they come?

To prevent someone living where they want to is bad enough but to remove this young man's means of communication just because he didn't use it 'normally' is just unbelievably ignorant and cruel. Where is the expert on AAC in all of this? (amongst others)

Working with people who use other methods than speech to communicate gives me an insight into a world where opinions and personal will are often suppressed by a society where vocal speech is accepted as the only truth and principle. Figures of authority need to listen carefully to Anthony and his peers and give them the respect and common decency they deserve!

Anthony, there are many people who know and love you working so hard to help you and your family have an ordinary life. Hang in there and with enough pressure you will be free soon. This is just another example of heavy handed politics being used to frighten families. We will overcome! X

This so close to my heart. So close I sign it twice. I have a severally autistic son who's in a mental hospital I am also fighting to bring him home, with a petition, however reading this your situation in a sense is worst. I have the support of doctors and social services, only we don't have a placement that is appropriate for my sons severe and complex autism and needs. You keep fighting please. Also. Please contact me if you would like to exchange ideas. God bless you.

I hope that Anthony finds himself living in dignified arrangements once again. My son & I are both on the ASD and find this unacceptable.

Disgraceful disregard of Anthony's human rights. For once it would be great if the NAS did what they proclaim to do

Every person has the right to live their life as God, our Creator, intended us each to live. We are each given a path, are born in this world to complete a journey. Let this individual live his life in the directions of his choosing. No one has the right to decide for him or his family, that loves and wants to help care for him. Thank you.
