The American Embassy blinked and finally granted Ameer the humanitarian visa so he can get the life saving treatment he was denied in this broken country. This win is a massive punch in the face to the bureaucratic indifference that left a seventeen year old boy rotting in a hospital …

Beirut the capital of Lebanon suffered devastating explosions in August that many have attributed to government negligence. On top of Lebanon’s failing economy, the blasts, rampant corruption, insufficient infrastructure, and increasing poverty have fueled conversations about whether Lebanon is so dysfunctional that it should be considered a failed state. Now when I'm making this petition to help Ameer get back on his feet; Lebanon went into a dark tunnel; no medications, no baby formulas, no anesthesia, people are dying on the hospitals' doors with no mercy and the doctors can't even help.

To make the story short I will tell you what happened to Ameer who has no hope at all to get back on his feet and walk again without your help by signing this petition and get as many signatures as possible to make the American Embassy in Beirut grant him a humanitarian visa to come to the USA as soon as possible to get treated. Every day passes by, Ameer's chances diminishes little by little to get back on his feet.

It is an urgent call to everybody to sign this petition and we need thousands of signatures to send it to the American Ambassador in Beirut and ask her to grant him a humanitarian visa.

Ameer is a 17 years old boy from Lebanon; he fell off a 30 feet high cliff while helping his elderly sick neighbor moving a water barrel and fell off a 30 feet high ditch located very close to where the neighbor lives. Everything happened in a blink of an eye. Ameer fell on his back, was rushed to the hospital where a single orthopedic operated on him, and did what he could to save Ameer. Unfortunately, Ameer got paralyzed and lost senses from the upper abdomen to his toes.

I talked to several spine surgeons here in the USA and they are all wanting to help Ameer but the obstacle is obtaining a visa to come to the United States.

We need your help, consider Ameer your son, your relative, your best friend, and give him hope to get back on his feet because the treatment in the USA is available but without your signature, he will lay on his back the rest of his life.

He is a very smart and lovable boy. He loves and respects everybody and everybody loves him as well. He has plans for his future, but he thinks his loss of feeling ( from the upper abdomen to his feet) and inability to walk are temporary.

Ameer needs your help.

The American Embassy continues to ignore the absolute catastrophe unfolding in Beirut while a seventeen year old boy loses his chance to ever walk again. I am tired of waiting for these bureaucrats to show a shred of humanity while Ameer rots in a hospital that cannot even provide basic medicine. We are dragging this case into the light whether they like it or not.

I hope the American embassy give him a visa for treatment Because Lebanon is a failed country and the treatment is not available in it, but it's available in USA

Ameer deserves the chance to be treated by the best professional health care possible. He is still young and has the whole world ahead of him

Please USA embassy representatives, help Amir to get the full medical support in the United States to be able, at least, to stand on his feet and get better.

We want to support this boy. He has a long life ahead of him and he can’t be left for a corrupted government and our embassy being so ignorant not granting him an emergency visa. Shame on everyone who is seeing this petition and have the power to help and not helping.

The government needs to step up as they have failed the Lebanese people in every way but Ameers condition needs urgent care in the USA as we all know the hospitals in Lebanon haven't got the requirements needed.
