The Intestate Law mandates that if you do not leave a will ,the Law will divide your estate.Whether you like the person or not ..they will be entitled as per the Intestate LAW.
If Married and no children ...50 per cent to spouse.and 50 percent to parents.Thus if you are estranged from your husband or wife and no decree nisi absolute...it does not matter
your spouse gets the other half,EVEN IF YOU HATE HIM.THE WISHES OF THE DEAD IS HARD TO PROVE IN COURT.
IF YOU LIVED IN A HDB FLAT AS A JOINT TENANT...THE SPOUSE GETS THE FLAT....
THIS PETITION IS TO REVIEW THIS LAW IN SINGAPORE AS THEY ARE DOING IT IN THE UK NOW.
