The Council are looking to spend £6.6million on the Helensburgh town centre and waterfront. The sole purpose is make Helensburgh a more attractive place to shop and spend time. Colquhoun Square will become a real place square with more space for pedestrians, more seating, lighting and trees. It will be a high quality place to enjoy and attract events, like markets, marquees, the world is our oyster. The best thing about it is that the it will be a real square not the crossroads it is today. Don't let the 'no' brigade ruin Helensburgh's chance to be transformed. We've had enough consultations - we need and demand action and no more consultations.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many of you agree that it is finally time for action instead of more talk. This momentum belongs entirely to the people who recognize that our town deserves this chance for a real change.

YES! Just get on with it. We have had enough planning meetings to last a lifetime. Transform the square and bring some life back to the town.

So tired of the constant moaning from the same people. The plans look great and we really need the boost for the shops.

Helensburgh has been stuck in the dark ages for way too long. Get it done already.
