Please allow hedgehogs to travel in cabins. I have had 2 as pets, and they are adorable and have no allergies and don't have teeth that grow continually so they are not chewing anything. Use gloves and you will be fine! (maybe 2).

I hope airlines change their policies to include your hedgehog's to be allowed to travel in the cabin.

The love of any pet as a part of your family should not be discriminated against due to its breed nor species if it's safe in a carrier and non disruptive to other passenger's. Not said NO to merely at the thought of their species. In other countries you see passengers traveling with their chickens, goats, pigs and monkeys moving about freely. Not that I'm advocating such but to suggest that following proper and safe traveling procedures for ANY type of pet with their companion should "not be allowed" and even ridiculed just shows insensitivity towards one another but also a selfish non compromise attitude... You see a ridiculous petition ... you mock.. jeer.. and ridicule... because she loves a non traditional animal. LOVE nonetheless. I've signed the petition obviously, I'm always for happiness... Good Luck Heloise and Zoe!

Come on! Domesticated hedgehogs? If hedgehogs are so sensitive that if the temperature changes, they go into hibernation and die? They all should be dead by now! Sorry but the species do not die that fast! Those quills on their backs are there for protection, anyone want to pick those out their leg because the little hedgehog got startled? Fact is they are very invasive creatures due to the lack of predators they have. The UK, New Zealand and Scotland are examples. Overrun and ca't get rid of them. Hedgehogs are rodents and It is even illegal to own a hedgehog as a pet in some US states. Hedgehogs uncommonly transmit a characteristic fungal skin infection to human handlers as well as other hedgehogs. This ringworm or dermatophytosis infection is caused by Trichophyton erinacei. Anyone want a little fungal infection from petting the little creature? Just what an elderly person wants, a snorting, snuffling or squealing as hedgehogs are very vocal. It should NOT be domesticated nor be allowed to fly in the cabin with humans. What's next, possums, pigs?

What's next; NY city rats? Some little girl wants to take her pet with her on an airplane....too bad. I want to take my snake with me but they won't allow it, but I'm smart enough to not try.
I say no, and hopefully those with brains will see that the regs of companies do not need to be changed for one small minded, spoiled girl.

The hedgehog would be in a crate under a seat. No other passengers would even know its on the plane. I travel with my chihuahua this way. And all pets are required to have a vet check with in 10 days of travel. Where's the problem?

Cats, dogs and birds cause dangerous allergies. According to pet allergies, hedgehogs don't. This doesn't make sense. A rodent? Airlines need to check with google on this one!
