After yet another child being hit on his way home from school crossing the B2096 Cade Street, we would like the speed of vehicles reduced to 30mph. The Heathfield Community College is a very large school with 1400 young people walking to and from and hanging around the area before and after school. We want a 20mph inner zone around the college itself and 30mph on the main road up to The Beehive junction. We are surprised that the traffic is allowed to drive at 40mph here and feel it is irresponsible for this to continue. How many more accidents will there be if we don't change this?
