Imagine a society where individuals and the businesses that support us no longer pay health premiums. Imagine a society where the cost of all natural, fresh and whole foods are subsidized by the taxation of processed and less nutrient rich foods. "Processed foods" in this case is defined by "nutritional values being diminished". Anything other than a nut, bean, fruit, vegtable, organic meat and dairy and any other whole or natural food should be taxed for the purpose of 1) providing healthcare to all Americans, and 2) to subsidize whole and natural foods, making them affordable for all Americans. If this system becomes reality in America, here's what America will look like 5 years from now: America will be a lot healthier and energetic and, as a result, creativity and innovation will flourish. We'll have higher productivity and income, less illness and stress and fewer social problems. We are what we eat, both individually and collectively. Social security could be increased slightly to pay for a very small percentage diet of processed foods for fixed income seniors. Food stamps would be used for non-taxable foods only. Healthier food supplies in poor neighborhoods would increase because of demand increases. Diebetes, heart disease and obesity would be drastically reduced and America would save billions of dollars. Assurances would have to be made to doctors, so that their pay doesn't decrease with reductions in disease. Prevention through taxation. It's been done to tobacco - why not the foods we eat? Imagine a society where individuals and businesses don't pay healthcare premiums. Imagine the money in our pockets and the profitability increases for the many small businesses that barely get by. IMAGINE. VOTE NOW and pass on to everyone you know.
STOP subsidizing corn syrup and start making produce affordable. our healthcare system is a joke anyway so this actually makes sense.
