We the undersigned Midwifes working for HealthPartners GHI, deserve to be paid at the previous compensation model that was agreed to in the parties CBA. Since the Midwife program was defined as “un-sustainable” in the current format and with the agreed upon compensation model in 2007, the Midwifes have made tremendous strides in areas such as (“productivity, including increasing RVU’s, increase in birthing rates at Regions and Abbott and much more”). The Midwifes have subsidized the department with nearly 1 million dollars of concessions in pay over the past 6-7 years. There are no other groups of staff or individuals who we believe come close to the concessions the Midwifes have given in the same time frame. We have done our share, our concessions should end and we should return to the appropriate compensation model. HealthPartners and the Leadership should do the honorable thing and agree that the Midwifes have sacrificed enough and end the concessions.
