President Obama and Local Representatives, While we fight for some kind of Health Care Reform, let us provide healthier food choices in neighborhoods that need it most. I am calling on you to put money into building and supporting healthier food options in our impoverished communities. Not only will you be creating JOBS you will be promoting healthier lifestyles that will also help our already overwhelmed healthcare system. "Healthcare Reform" should begin in our backyards not on the floor of government. Those who need reform are not being heard nor provided the resources they need with in their communities. If we are really for the people of this country, then lets create and restore our health by providing education and healthier options for the people. The time is now!

I honestly did not think this would gain this much steam when I typed it out on my laptop at midnight but wow look at all of you showing up. It feels like people actually want this change in their own neighborhoods as much as I do which is just wild to see unfolding in real time.

This would go a long way to fixing the health issues in our neighborhood. It starts with the food we eat.

Finally someone said it. The food deserts are real and families are suffering because of it.
