In recent years healthcare cost have been skyrocketing and financially debilitating to Canadians; because of this, our aim is to reduce the burden of healthcare cost and by making various healthcare disciplines accessible to all Canadians. These areas of focus are paramount to our proposed healthcare reform initiative.

We, the Natural Medicine Certification Council (NMCC), theOntario Federation of Natural Medicine Associations, the Canadian College of Humanitarian Medicine, the Board of Integrative Medicine, the FAAVM hereby call for action that the Federal and Provincial Government re-examine the current healthcare mandate. Our initiative is that the Government of Canada provides and encourages a health mandate that is fundamentally based on prevention and patient’s rights. We call for the creation of an investigatory panel, senate and house of common committee comprised of leaders from both conventional, natural medicine and integrative medicine communities that would work in concert to curate strategies for improvements in preventive health care service(s).

NO more investigations, no more seeing if it works because all the evidence and research data are already in place. We believe that the prosperity of a country should be measured by the health of it citizens and their rights to choose their own healthcare. Research data supporting an integrative healthcare model shall be made publicly available on the internet for all citizens to read and discuss.

Our reform platform also includes a Government Healthcare Rebate, whereby a government subsidy designed to encourage citizens who maintain good health, including regular visits to the natural medicine practitioners, weight management, etc... A registry for traditional natural healing systems and integrative medicine must be established, in response to the public demand for freedom of choice and increased access to an integrative medicine approaches to health care, meeting the health needs of an ever-increasing number of Canadians; since the average allopathic doctor appointment is only 10-15 minutes comparing to Natural Medicine 1-2 hours with one client.

By Signing this petition; a report delivered to the House of Commons, the Senate and the Prime Minister ‘s Office (PMO), and provincial Premiers inclusively, and "the metadata will subsequently be aggregated in a repository", creating our national repository of integrative medicine practitioners, clinicians and patients.
