Headscarves (amongst other religious symbols) should be allowed to be worn in the French workplace and schools

I am really glad that this petition is happening. As a Muslim person myself, the hijab is very important to me, so I feel terrible that Muslim women in France are unable to express their religion.

As someone who wears hijab and lives in a country (South Africa) where people are allowed to wear whatever they like, I feel as if other countries should let people to do the same. I honestly hope you get as many signatures as possible and that this works out xx

I would like to sign this petition, since I'm a Muslim and Muslims should deserve their own rights just like any other human being in this world. We're all humans we should all be equal either, no matter what religion you follow.

I really feel that wearing headscarves and other religious symbols such as the turban should be allowed in workplaces because things like these should not hinder those who wear it out of religious conviction and as a form of submission to their Creator from working and earning a living just like any other person living on this earth. Why should those wearing religious symbols not be allowed some things when we are all equals in this world? I feel it is unfair and bans towards these things are absolutely unnecessary. Bans like these are some of the things that causes tensions between people, how are we to move forward when we let simple things like these religious symbols be a problem, when it is not?

I belive this petition will be one of the main happenings that changed our world for the better.

I wear a hijab and people need to realise its just a headscarf. I don't know why people think its anything more than that. The same as a girl who wears loose tops to not show the shape of her body, the headscarf works the same way. Wearing one doesn't make us any different from the rest of you. I consider mine a symbol of my freedom of belief and expression but in all honesty I don't consider it to be an 'extreme' religious covering. Wearing one and not wearing a headscarf are equal. We just choose to wear one because we WANT to.

I am so glad you're actually trying to do something about this problem.

I think that any form of religious symbols should be allowed, because if we all have the freedom to believe in what ever we want to believe in headscarfs etc. should be allowed, they show who we are, what we stand for and what we believe in. And so I think they should be allowed, let's start with France.
