Head Start programs provide jobs for people that WANT to help low income students that NEED the extra that the state doesn't provide. Public schools often lack the resources and structure to build stronger students that grow into stronger people. It is a disservice to not only the faculty of Head Start programs but the students and parents enrolled in these programs that are hoping for a better future by pushing the means of what is available to them

My child has learned so much by going to head start. I would hate to see this opportunity for other children be taken away

The thought of closing the door on little ones is so upsetting. Haulting readiness skills for kids who need it is really setting students up for failure and increasing the challenges of the educational institutions.

PLEASE DO NOT TAKE HEAD START AWAY! This program is necessary to help give preschoolers a beginning foundation on which to build the many skills needed to be successful students in the future!

Please keep head start. Hcde cost effectively manages all its programs, including his one. To remove it from services will also removes services to harris count kids and families. It will create a wider gap between school age kids and is a detriment to public education. Please think twice!

Keep the program it really helps . I couldn't enroll my daughters but I know someone that did and it does help kids with early learning.
