My 15year old is now a high school freshman. He has been on the honor roll for years, he is involved with his community, and is one of the top musicians in the state. I attribute his early head start education to all his current success!

This program is very much needed in the community and without it over a thousand kids will be without the help that they very much need to survive.

Through many years HCDE has provided excellent resources by funding Head Start, for those of us in eastern Harris County. Our community wants and needs HCDE to remain the source of funding for Head Start. I am asking that the Board members of HCDE vote "NO" to this item and action.

For over 17 years HCDE Head Start program, under Harris County Dept of Education, has provided excellent service to the families of East Harris County. If this is a well oiled machine and it working to help our children why the push for a change that would impact the growth of our children and our community.
HCDE board members, please vote "NO" to this action.

Head Start must stay with HCDE. After years of quality service from HCDE, there is no reason to pull Head Start in the middle of the school year. Hundreds students and families' life will be deeply effected with this sudden change, unfortunately, mostly with disorienting, confused and logistically nightmare.

Head Start improves the lives of vulnerable children and struggling parents. Investing in their early years creates potential and possibility for lifelong learning, earning and contribution to society. HCDE has provided high quality Head Start services since 1999 and Harris County's families and schools need them to continue.

HCDE services not only wonderful children, but caters to the we'll being of the parents. HCDE is so different from any other agency in Harris County because of the partnerships within the community and the input of parents for the program is really important.

Harris County Department of Education's Headstart program is very vital and benefits so many families. The program aides the growth of the whole child. (family, health, nutrition, and etc.)

Head Start is a program that provides invaluable benefits to pre-school children and their families, and its relationship with the Harris County Department of Education has ensured that these benefits are accessible to the local community. The decision to abruptly end HCDE's relationship with Head Start would leave many families today and in the future at a disadvantage and unable to access Head Start's services.

HCDE Head Start makes a difference in the lives of low income children and families. We service northeast Houston and children are prepared for school readiness.

Headstart helps so many kids start off on the right track. Parents are helped also because daycare is way too expensive and doesn't really teach kids anything educational.
Please keep Head Start in our community.
