Proudly, we screen 3 x's a year in our K-8 school. What we need is teacher training and Title I tutors to be certified and paid teacher pay!

My superintendant's focus for pre school year training for teachers was addition tables . This legislation is obviously needed badly. I am on the school board in Milton SAU 64. My school's libraries are filled with porn and CRT. Proficiency testing shows that our schools are failing in every subject. I have been trying to fix our schools but I'm outnumbered on the board. The children desperately need your help. We deserve better legislation from our representatives. Why isn't it happening?

It is a tragedy that so many of our young citizens are not properly taught how to read, and criminal on the part of our school districts. The principals and teachers should be ashamed!

As a citizen and current NH State representative I have always been very interested in all children learning how to read. I believe that when a child can read that child has the world at their fingertips. It is unacceptable that so many of our children go through school without knowing how to read. We have to change it and utilize a curriculum that works. What is wrong with going back to phonics?
