Looking to get signatures to help pass House Bill 211, that does away with Autocycles from wearing helmets. Passed in the house, now waiting in Senate. HB 214 died in Senate, this is replacement bill. Please help us with this.
The legislative process moves slowly but we remain focused on the Senate proceedings for this bill. I have been in contact with several offices to ensure they understand the specific needs of autocycle operators.

Seatbelts prevent us from being thrown from the vehicle. UNLIKE A MOTORCYCLE. It's not the GOVERNMENTs responsibility to tuck me in at nite, It is to SERVE. Do your job.

Helmets should be a choice, for crying out loud a jeep can ride around with no doors and top, they're not required to wear helmet.

It is absolutely ridiculous in the state of NC to have to wear a helmet for an autocycle. They have seatbelts and if any vehicle has a seatbelt, a helmet should not be required. HB 214 needs to be passed.

The Polaris Slingshot is very similar in design to many Jeeps. All have 3 point seat belts, and some equipped with roll bar protection, and all side by side enclosed seating. Helmet wearing should be optional.

There's no need for an autocycle to be subject to motorcycle laws. This is a very, very rare instance in which California has the right idea. You don't need helmets for autocycles and you don't need a motorcycle license either.

Its A hazard as my head is down ward position because of a helmet therefore making it unsafe for me while driving and my daughter is in a car seat that has a back on it and sides at the head therefore making it impossible to wear one, I also have a rollbar/bikini top to help in case of a roll over.

The should be no helmets if you have a seatbelt and steering wheel
