Hazard Pay for Adult Inpatient Clerical Staff During COVID-19 Pandemic

all healthcare employees should be getting some degree of hazard pay to account for the increase risk we are all taking.

I was an inpatient Clerk. Clerks are the backbone everyone depends on. Protect them too!

I support all of our front line workers who put themselves at risk every day to save the lives of their community. They deserve additional compensation for the risk they are putting themselves and their families in during the pandemic crisis.

This should have already been done!

This should be for all clerks, not just adult and floats. Anyone in any of the hospitals is at an increased risk of catching COVID-19. Take care of our staff who are taking care of the sick!

They absolutely should get hazard pay and all PPE there as well I am no stranger to the ICU and the clerks are less than 20 feet from some of the rooms!!

With the current shortage now, combined with the fact some new hires potentially won't even finish training when they hear about possible interaction with positive patients, wouldn't there be logic in fair compensation for that? Plus, don't look now, but there's potential for the whole hospital to be RICU...

Please provide hazard pay which is commensurate with the risk associated with being in direct contact with infected patients. They should have full PPE for their shift as well if supplies allow.

I fully support hazard pay for all doctors and nurses in the front line tirelessly treat patients with COVID-19.

I am in support for the cause that Inpatient Unit Clerks and Float Clerks, working on adult units at Michigan Medicine, should be receiving additional hourly pay to account for the extraordinary and dangerous circumstances we are faced with during the COVID-19 pandemic.
