On July 20th, 2019, my daughter Evangeline Grace Sleeper was born still. The hospital refused to check for a heartbeat because she didn’t meet the gestational age of 20-23 weeks. I was 18 weeks pregnant. She just had a heartbeat of 175 , 10 minutes before they checked to see how dilated I was and she was already in the canal. I’m beyond devastated. I want her to have the acknowledgment she deserves. She was alive. She deserves a birth certificate.

My son Luke was born at 38 weeks. I gave birth to him and he deserves a birth certificate recognizing his life, not just a death certificate.
