The island community needs a grocery store. No not target. No not Fred Meyer across the bridge. No not going into the traffic to go to north Portland or north east either. For the most part the population of Hayden Bay wants to stay on and support the island stores and restaurants. Please bring us a quality grocery store.

I'm moving to Hayden Island soon and the fact there wasn't a nearby grocery (except Target...meh) was initially an issue. I strongly support bringing a grocery store back.

I used to buy groceries frequently, but now I'm in the habit of eating at fast food places. No car. Buying groceries off island just doesn't work for me.

Speny a lot of money at that store. Even being more spendy than others like Walmart and Winco, I shopped there to keep from having to deal with the traffic on I-5 and had great people working there who became friends. Used the Just for You app and coupons to bring down prices. So many senior citizens shopped there for the convience and pharmacy. Sad day when they closed for so many.

We would all benefit greatly by a full service grocery store. Our island community and boating community needs that very much. I, for one, would definitely support such a store. I currently shop at the Grand Central Fred Myer. Their produce quality and selection is great and its also convenient to have all the household goods Freddy sells as well as their garden center, and pharmacy
