Hawkland Mini Golf and Family Fun Center

This would be a great addition to Lawrence! No more driving out of town for family entertainment

We need this for the families here in Lawrence. There isn't anything here for families. I am tired of going to KC or Topeka to do something with my family. There are to many banks, food places, bars. Now let's get this family fun center in here. This isn't just a college town.

We need a place like this for kids!

I think it would be great to have this in Lawrence. We need more fun stuff for kids and adults to do so maybe there will be less violence.

This would great. We need more family things in lawrence. I hate living here with my child having maybe two fun things. Its not only a college town.

Lawrence KS has so many places for food, banks, etc., but we must have another sort of family fun here in Lawrence.

I have been telling people this for years. I see posts on the FB sell sites all the time...... Can anyone suggest a place for a birthday party? Where can I take my child besides bowling, or the movies? This list goes on, and on. I understand that Lawrence is a college town/city, I moved here with my boys in 97. They were 9 and 6 weeks old. My oldest is now 27, and my youngest just graduated from Free State High. I have seen since moving here, so many bars, and banks being built. New Hampshire now looks like a monopoly board. More condos, apts, lofts, hotels, oh and guess what? You guessed it, yet another bank. Lawrence needs a family fun center. The 3 now empty furniture stores would be a perfect location. Well maybe only 2 of the stores would be needed. Parking is ample, and right there on Iowa. An arcade with old school arcade games, and yes new ones too, a food type court in the middle, and either a skating rink or mini indoor golf on the other side. Yes, I have thought about this for years now. My boys are now older, but there are families here with younger kids. Birthday parties, family night, and teen night too. Our entertainment for their kids at times. Come on Lawrence, lets build something needed for our families, and keep city money here!!!!

This would be a family fun night out place..More famalies moving to Lawrence

This is something that Lawrence needs badly. As the mother of a teenager and older elementary student, there is little that Lawrence has to offer my kids. There is something for littles, something for college age kids and something for adults, but little attention is paid to the youth in our community. Hawkland could easily fill that gap.

LOVE THIS IDEA!! And towns in the area can benefit as well!!

Lawrence needs Family activity and kids to need a place to hang besides on the streets

We need family activities in town.

Definitely need this! I'm sick of banks and big corporate stores. We need local places and fun spaces for all ages. Mini golf and a skating rink would be amazing(:

I totally agree Lawrence needs something for families to do together

We need more family places to go in Lawrence ks. Quit taking things away from Lawrence and make it more family oriented

With 7 kids it can be a challenge to find local things to do that you havent already done over and over again. Having an activity center would really help parents, grandparents and visitors.

We need more family activity facilities in lawrence no more irrelevant businesses that we have 10 each of already... this could be a great way to keep kids out of trouble!
