I like the idea just not the location ... lots of options to the south and west in carver county

This is the wrong location, such things cannot be this close to residential areas. They smell awful

Site selection makes no sense! The Arboretum is the only entity that will really benefit. Location is in the lap Victoria's residential space, a few hundred yards from HF High School, on the corner of a feeder road, Bavaria, where traffic has dramatically grown over the past decade. I have to believe a better location exists, more centrally located to support future growth in the county.

We do not need this service to be provided by Carver County.

Horrible location...this is a BUSY road, right across from a residential neighborhood.

The overall concept is good, encourage more yard waste disposal and make it convenient. Since over 3 out of 4 users of this site will come from Chanhassen and Chaska, and put it on the very SE section of the Arboretum near Highway 41 and 82nd Street across from an industrial site vs. in a less convenient location with a totally uncontrolled intersection (Bavaria and 82nd), especially since you insist on having it open during rush hour on two days a week. I have driven this intersection for decades and those data gatherers the County is using have not. Plus your timing is way off, pave the road, put in a round-about, before you put in the site, if you insist. Your written Q and A says this will happen shortly, but we all know that it will happen in maybe 5 or 10 years because of the revenue needed and the cost involved.

The way the county is handling this is unacceptable, minimal public knowledge to the potential odors this will produce with grass clippings and brush (brush will be stock piled for a year before removal). It may be a financial gain for the County with a zero dollar lease to the Arboretum. But the residents of Victoria have to pay the price for all the traffic and air pollution for the entire County. Please look at other sites outside a densely populated neighborhood!

Bavaria is already far too busy, and with neighborhoods close by it's NOT a great place to have this proposed site. I strongly oppose this location.

Our family strongly opposes this! Please don’t move forward.

It is such a very busy intersection already and frequent accidents or almost accidents do and can occur.

This is already a busy intersection especially with school traffic. Adding more cars and trucks for an un-necessary yard waste dump seems to be in poor judgement. Site selection should not be based on "free" land only.

I don't understand why a site is necessary for county residents period. And even if it is, this is not the right location. Please listen to residents opinions and information. Isn't that what public officials are supposed to do?

This is NOT an appropriate location.

The site should be put out in a rural area. This road needs to be improved to help relieve traffic problems on Bavaria and Hwy. 5. It should not be used as a dirt road with increased traffic. County officials need to work on that problem 1st. It is also another case of the Arboretum not being a good neighbor to Victoria.

This is an extremely poor site for anything that will create more traffic on Bavaria Road and Co. Rd. 18. With a new development coming in on Bavaria near the site and the Holy Family school just down the road on Co. Rd. 18 the traffic at this intersection is already heavy. More traffic hauling waste materials will only exacerbate the problem.

We have a bedroom facing Bavaria and the noise of truck traffic would make it unusable. It is already a very busy and dangerous traffic area with all the new homes being constructed. Do the developers agree with this proposal. We the taxpayers already pay for this U of M facility. We are members and support the Arboretum but if this thing passes we and all of our friends will withdraw. I thought the Arboretum was a good neighbor but it looks like they don’t care about the neighbors

No to the proposed site. Too close to so many residential areas and not to mention the homes on other side of the street will have to deal with all the traffic, plus Bavaria is a very busy road as well.

We don’t need the additional traffic congestion, noise and dust next to our neighborhoods.
