The change I would like to see is the rate of suicide to decrease in Canada. Over the last 100 years’ suicides have out-numbered homicides by at least 3 to 2. 19.7 out of 100,000 from the age of 14-24 die by suicide each year. These are stats people just ignore and I am trying to spread more awareness toward this growing issue that needs to be addressed more carefully then ever. Suicide is the second leading cause of death for those aged 10 to 19, and in 2009. Suicide rate increase 2.4 percent in 2015 but yet the world and people are allowing this to happen. Society has to change or suicide rate will ever decrease. Since everyone in the world today only cares about them self’s this is a hard to ask. But if society becomes more excepting of this issue there will be a big change that will save many people’s lives change. My overall goal would be to decrease the suicide rate from 11.3 people out of 100,000 to 10.

With the right training teachers would hopefully be able to identify depression/suicidal like symptoms. With these training advancements teachers can report these symptoms to the board and the child can be help with whatever issue the kid is dealing with.
