My grandmother died there as well as a few more of my family. I've had family there for surgery and some born there. I would love to see this place documented before its gone forever.

I was one of the last patients here as a kid I got stitches in this place when nobody else would take me. But the story behind this place is messed up.

I was born in this hospital on August 31, 1986 at 6:05pm. My siblings where born there. I have cousins that where born there. A lot of my family and some of my school friends where all born here. I know that I even have some family that passed away there. I can't imagine going back to see my family and the hospital not being part of the skyline. Riverside Hospital has always been a part of my life. My first doctor was there. My mom got my name from a little girl she met there. The girls mom was having a baby at the same time. It would honestly break my heart to see or hear that the hospital is gone. They have made so many places into a historical site. I don't understand why they can't do the same thing with the hospital. I mean if you look through the old records you will most likely find a famous person from Toledo that was born at that exact hospital. Please take into consideration the history and the memories that this hospital has for many people from Toledo. I may not live there any longer but I still have family there and I know that they are trying to do the same thing I'm doing and that is begging for you to reconsider tearing it down. Please consider making it a historical site. Please look into your heart and think about those of us that have been born there. Or those of us that this was the last place we seen someone that was near and dear to us. Please look into the records and see if there was any famous person that was born or died there. I was hoping that one day I could take my child back to my home town and show him where I was born at. But if you tear it down. I wouldn't be able to show him anything except for the ground. I am pleading with you to please please reconsider your decision. And please don't tear it down. Riverside hospital is and will always be a major part of my life. I am going to try to get as many people as I possibly can to sign this petition. Please look into this matter and don't tear it down.

I implore you to keep north Toledo's memories alive their isn't much over that way already turn their into a profitable attraction or something idk but don't destroy it please

Born here on September 26th of 1992. Hoping to return the hospital to its glory days, so maybe one day my children can look back and say they were born at the same hospital as their father.

At the very least document it. If you don’t have the intuition to save it and use it as a homeless shelter or a place to grow food locally the at least let them document it.
