The school systems have a policy to abide by. Many students feel like the "hat rule," which is to not allow students to wear hats during school hours, should be reviewed and changed. Students feel like it expresses individuality. One shouldnt have to say it is their "religion" in order to wear a hat. Yes, there are down sides to this like gang affiliations. But most schools do not have problems like these and just ASSUME one may be in some gang or group associated with hats. During pep rallies, students show their school color or class color with bandanas and none are pin pointed for this although it IS in the handbook to not use ANY hat, bandana, etc. Please help me change this, please help me be heard.
