Lived in Finningley for over 20 years and the Harvey Arms has always been the centre of the village and is the focal point many activities. It has always been sensitive to the needs of the community. It is unfortunate that a few people who have only just arrived into out village community want to spoil this for the rest of us.

Anyone in their right mind should do a bit of homework before buying a property. Let's think there is a pub behind my house. Would I expect a bit of noise now and again. Of course I would. I suppose they haven't noticed a great runway next to them either. Some people are unbelievable. With that many small businesses going under these days they should be supporting not moaning. Even more so in a village.

May 12, 2018 The Harvey Arms has been standing a lot longer than the new estates. We are lucky to have such a lovely friendly village pub.

This pub has been part of my village and my life for over 30years. The traditions of bonfire night and all other events they put in really being a sense of community. A great local pub, for the local people of finnigley. This must obtain its event license to keep this sense of community and belonging.

The Harvey Arms is the centre of village activity of all kinds. There is little or no anti social behaviour. It has been there far longer than the houses behind and if you live behind a pub you must expect extraneous noise - if you want a quiet life the go live in a monastery.

These events bring money to a lovely village that was once like a ghost town. I lived in the village when we had to get in the car (polluting the environment unnecessarily) to go to the next village for milk. The village is now a thriving little place but still has the great character and beauty it deserves.
I now live very close to the wildlife park who have regular live events with thousands of visitors. The sounds can often be very loud, not to mention being woken up at 4am by some very noisy lions but would not dream of objecting. Please think of your local economy people. x
Well done the Harvey Arms I would say!

The Harvey is the heart of the village community. While some noobs might move to Finningley and complain, I'm trying to save enough money to move back to the village BECAUSE of the Harvey and it's events.
