Sign this petition to support increasing military integration at Harvard University in the following ways:

Recommendation I: Actively Recruit and Embrace ROTC Cadets and Midshipmen. Actively recruit and matriculate 15 Army, 15 Navy (including Marine Option), and 10 Air Force ROTC cadets/midshipmen per year into Harvard College.

Recommendation II: Remove Harvard Legacy ROTC Structural Barriers.

a. Account for ROTC scholarships in ways that significantly benefits the students who earn them and removes and penalty.

b. Fund (through endowment or alumni donors) the full room and board for all ROTC scholarship students.

c. Count ROTC courses for credit.

d. Move ROTC offices from the Radcliffe Quadrangle to the Yard.

Recommendation III: Significantly Increase Numbers of Veterans in Harvard College.

a. Actively recruit U.S. veterans to Harvard College

b. Make the transfer policy veteran-friendly.

Recommendation IV: Track veteran status at all Harvard schools.

All Harvard admissions offices and alumni offices should track their applicants and alumni's veteran status (i.e. are you a veteran, yes or no?) and treat veterans as they do other special interest groups that are, or were, historically underrepresented at Harvard.

Recommendation V: Establish University ROTC/Veterans/Military Coordinator.

a. Assign a senior administrator with purview for Military-Veterans-ROTC issues.

b. Hire a mid-level administrator to coordinate and integrate military issues at Harvard.

Recommendation VI: Significantly celebrate Harvard ROTC's 100-Year Anniversary in 2016

a. The University (not ROTC or a veterans club) should host a significant ceremony (perhaps a weekend) commemorating the anniversary.

b. A specific part of the ceremony should be a session that specifically welcomes home all of Harvard's Vietnam veterans (non-attribution), where the University President and College Dean thank them for their service in uniform.

Recommendation VII: Officially recognized Air Force ROTC (given a USAF request).
