I have been job hunting with my email address after specifically being told by CSO that I could keep it. This is incredibly important to me being employed. Please let us keep it.

I signed this petition with my Harvard email. Here's hoping I get to follow up with it next month on my Harvard email.

I strongly advocate for students to be able to continue using our Harvard email addresses. Thank you.

To echo everyone else, this is a very last-minute change that can have adverse effects on students who've given out their Harvard email addresses on job applications.

We were told that we will not lose our Harvard email after we graduate. Please allow us to keep it. Thanks

HGSE proudly advertises its alumni-base and the ability of former students to network using the Harvard name. Having been assured that we would be able to retain our Harvard email addresses after graduation, I along with my classmates have made connections and provided contact information using the email address given to us by the school. By all appearances, the new policy will only make networking more difficult. I am deeply disappointed and hope that HGSE reconsiders its decision.

I am initiating a businesss and my Harvard email adds credulity to the job. I printed cards with this email all over it....

Students have been operating on the knowledge that they would have their Harvard email account indefinitely. Many students have been using their Harvard email on their resumes, business cards, and job search. Communication of this short notice seems a bit unreasonable and has created a lot questions and concerns. Please reconsider this policy and provide further details of the implications of this policy. Many thanks!

Please allow us to keep our Harvard emails as they stand since they provide a solid reference of our time and studies spent here at Harvard. We were also not informed of this policy change before we began classes, as should have been made much more transparent.

You penny pinching bastards we did not pay $50k to get nickel and dimed at the 11th hour. Don't you dare ask me for alumni donations.

Why was this policy changed at the last minute? This is very harmful to job-seeking graduates.

I was specifically told that we would be able to use our harvard email addresses for the rest of our lives. Please reconsider such a policy change.

I petition to keep my HGSE email as it is. It is necessary for me for the purpose of networking and job search in the future!

It is frustrating to learn about this policy after heading something totally different from school personnel throughout the academic year. I hope the school reconsiders this policy.

This is a pretty ridiculous policy. I've kept my undergrad email for 5 years with no problem and there seems to be no legitimate reason to terminate our emails.

This is a bit surprising and frustrating based on what I'd been told

Even a reimbursement for different business cards would be welcome!

While I understand the purpose of this policy, it has clearly not been effectively communicated among HGSE staff or students. Students have been operating in the context of (unintentional) misinformation from CSO, program staff, alumni, and others for the balance of this year. I also question the timing and tone of this message. I assume good intentions among the IT staff, but I would encourage them to speak with some current job seeking students about the impact of this policy and the way it was communicated.
