Had my car stolen, yes insurance covers a lot but there is still the deductible and all my tools stolen it doesn't even feel like my car now because of these criminals left it and I got off light compared to what happens to many other people who've had their cars stolen. Then you find out that these criminals spend a night or two in jail and are out at it again stealing more cars.

Albuquerque needs to do something to stop this crime before everyone leaves and the wird gets out not to come here!

ABQ is #1 in car thefts and too high in all crime. It's getting very scary to live there.

Higher bonds are needed to keep these criminals in jail. Also stop offering so many plea deals. How many have really stopped criminal activity while out awaiting sentencing or out on probation. Hire more probation officers so they actually have time to go out and check on their caseloads.

Legislators need to increase penalties for auto theft. Albuquerque needs more cops to enforce those laws.

A couple of my friends had their trucks stolen in 2016, vehicles recovered but damaged.

Law needs to be more strict. NM needs to focus more resources on this crime. Just like it spends with DWI.

Lived in Albuquerque for the past 60 years and have never seen crime escalate like it has in the past few years. Feels like criminals are taking over this city.

It's not just cars, criminals are running wild in Albuquerque- My house was robbed while we slept. I was walking my dogs, an I saw a car ram a fence and shatter the patio door. The males jumped out and grabbed electronics. All a person has to do to be robbed like this is live near a bus stop. Yeah, we had a car stolen too.

They need to throw the key away. We've had a useless DA and limp wristed judges. No more plea bargaining!!

Albuquerque/Rio Rancho area needs to really hold criminals in jail longer and seek harsher punishment. This state has become a joke for criminals. Cops are being laughed at by criminals and are not supported by our legistature. FIX IT NOW!

They need to set up more bait cars! And we definitely need tougher punishment! These people are only getting a slap on the wrist! Not to mention when my truck was stolen the insurance only payed me out the value and not all the extras. So for a example of a theft like this not only you stuck with the deductible your also loosing all the money you've invested in toolboxes, stereo system, light bars , rims and tires etc

Let's by all means see true enforcement for DUI. There is realy no enfrcemet now. The Judges are treating this as a joke. Their penalties actual in courage DUI. Tat's m opinion.

We recently had a car stollen directly from our driveway in broad daylight in front of 6 witnesses, and the thief tried to run me over on the way out. This isn't just a property problem; it's a safety problem. These car thieves have grown far too bold and fearless because it's so easy for them to get away with it. The police didn't even try to get prints from our vehicle after it was dumped.
