Liability insurance doesn't cover anything especially the 15,000 dollars worth of tools and equipment in the truck. Sorry your S.O.L.

Had my veh. stolen @ a local Marriott Crtyrd hotel only to have a family stranded. An out of towner who used to frequent Albuquerque; my feelings towards this "Thief City USA;" has changed drastically...driver may have insurance but it will NOT cover less than 1/6 of the veh. value cost nor the $2k worth of items within. Not to mention the sentimental value (Irreplaceable)..Just don't trust Albuquerque!!!

To the politicians and judges, do your job. Our state is turning into a little Chicago. We are number 1 in crime. That is a reflection on you.

We had our vehicle recovered, with the persons inside the vehicle and police on site. The female suspect was released onsite, with multiple obvious felonies (mail theft, fraud, ID theft, cashing checks with false Ids, etc.) she wasn't even taken in, the male suspect was brought in, but don't know what Came of it. Most of the time they are let go and freed. Forgot to mention the thousands of needles and drug paraphernalia strewn throughout the car.

I had my 1990 Jeep Cherokee stolen in September 2016. It was recovered, but cost $300 to repair and over $300 to get it out of the impound yard. I felt ripped off by the impound yard as well. I'm sure the thieves only made < $100 from the stuff they took from my jeep. Victimized twice.

This is ridiculous! We have to pay for them stealing from us and all they get is a slap on the wrist....this needs to be fixed!

Something needs to be done - we can't continue with Business as Usual. It's time to re-evaluate the root causes of these crimes. Auto theft disrupts the hard working people in this community, ensures that we will lose businesses and also deters tourists from visiting our city and state. I am a victim, my neighbors are victims, and my tenant also had a close call. As a community, we really can not continue like this any longer.

Happy to sign this petition and support you. My neighbor had both of her trucks stolen within 3 weeks of each. Definitely needs to stop.

I need faster response time when I call in stolen vehicle. And I want longer jail time before bail can be posted!
