Harsher Punishments and More Investigations for Auto Theft in Albuquerque, NM

This is happening all too much there needs to be something done about it the public is suffering all too much

All the car theft have gotten way out of control. We need harsher punishment for repeat offenders. There is nothing deterring them from going right out and doing again.

We work so hard for everything in our possession. And for lowlifes to steal our vehicle, strip it, take everything we had invested into it, it's ridiculous that they aren't being punished or paying for what they caused, what they did to us. Nothing is happening to the person that had our vehicle in his yard, fenced up and trying to hide it. We caught him Red handed, handed everything over to the sheriffs department, and still nothing is happening. We work so hard, so damn hard for everything we have, justice needs to he served.

New Mexico needs harsher laws. Citizens are not feeling safe anymore. The city needs to wake up and make Albuquerque the city it use to be.

We work hard for the little we have and for someone to just come and take it really upsets me!!! Many of us can only afford liability insurance which means we are out of luck if our cars are taken and destroyed. We need the revolving jail doors to stop! Judges need to stop letting people out. That's why the criminals in NM keep doing what they do. I'm sure they laugh on their way out the door. It's a shame. It needs to stop NOW!!!!!

We seriously need to crack down on the car theft issue. It will never stop completely, but if the consequences are greater it should at least slow down to a manageable situation.

These thieves are ruining families, businesses and the community. How do we expect to bring in new businesses into the area when there are upwards of 25 vehicles stolen daily in the area and most used for more property crimes hurting existing businesses. The judicial system is not helping by turning these animals back without so much as a slap on the wrist due to overcrowding and nonviolent crime...I am sorry these are the very people that need to be put in jail for a long time for the depth of crimes they are committing in the community. We need this to stop now!!

20 years in Albuquerque for me, served on Grand Jury's....this town has turned into a cess pool of crime over the last few years! Do every thing you can to please clean it up NOW! Thanks

We need to do something to deter these thieves from stealing automobiles tougher laws to make them pay for the crime that they commit. These vehicles are some people's livelihood they work hard for them and they are an expensive loss! This also creates tremendous hardship on the owners and loss of Peace of Mind!

Improvements need to be made to investigate, stop, and punish auto thieves in Albuquerque and beyond. It continues to get worse and something must be done, or more people are going to leave the state and will take their tax dollars with them.

Please do something about all these car thefts!!!!!

Tired of having to worry about my personal property being stolen. Maybe we need a three strike rule.

Something needs to be done about the number of car thefts in this city. It isn't even safe to park our car in our own driveway anymore.
