Harrow Halls Internet Reform
We believe that the internet service provided in the Harrow Halls of residence is unacceptable. Despite repeated complaints by students both to the university and to Keycom, the situation has not improved and the internet speed, particularly in evenings, is running at around 0.4mbs. The UK national average is ten times this, and the current speed means that our internet is worse than that in Lebanon (the slowest in the world). This means that students residing in the halls are unable to efficiently use the internet for their studies and this is having a detrimental effect on our academic performance. This is entirely unreasonable as the Harrow halls are the university endorsed residence and internet is a basic expectation of such accommodation. The students living in the Harrow Halls of residence are receiving an unacceptable service and are not prepared to ignore the problem any longer.
