The UK Government confirmed plans to make huge amounts of cuts to teaching spending on universities which will undoubtedly decimate higher education. The scale of these cuts is almost unbelievable and this decision- unforgivable. The cuts, we all know, will impact hugely on the lives of countless people across the UK, and particularly those from poorer backgrounds. Despite what the UK Government says these cuts are too deep and too fast. We, the undersigned, object to the severity and nature of the funding reduction to higher education, announced in the CSR. We call upon the Prime Minister and Her Majesty's Government to reconsider and reduce the proposed cuts to higher education.
