I think it would be a great idea to have a skate park! I teach at the high school and I know of lots of students who would put it to good use!

I personally would love to see this happen and would help during the process. Harrisburg has some good skaters and it would save everyone making trips to Marion quite often if we had one in our own place.

My little guy loves skateboarding, but there is nowhere safe for hI'm. When he gets older, I know I'm not going to be able to keep him off a board. I've always stressed safety first, and one of the best ways is to make sure they have a safe place to go.

Harrisburg would finally be do something for our younger generation! It makes more sense to use the wasted space of our park as areas our children would utilize! While our park tennis court was in need of some repairs/upgrades, $30,000 seems an overkill. Let's face the facts, tennis isn't the activity our teens and younger children are into anymore!

I think the youth need this there isn't much for them to do anymore, but drugs and trouble! Maybe this will give them something to do and a place to skate since there isn't many places that they can do that at.
