Quite recently, and inexplicably, the Harold and Maude DVD was discontinued by the manufacturer. Having been rated #4 on Entertainment Weekly's Top 50 Cult Movies, #45 on AFI's 100 Funniest Movies of all Time, and selected for preservation in the National Film Registry of the Library of Congress, it was upsetting and puzzling for many as to why this beloved cult classic was taken off the market. With the film turning 40 next year, it is imperative not only for the DVD to be continued, but for an anniversary edition to be released.

If you'd like to see Harold and Maude once again printed on DVD, please sign the petition (your email address will NOT be displayed). Any little bit helps. With a plentiful amount of signatures, the petition may be sent to Paramount and/or Criterion.
