Harmon was a class guy and I was honored to be able to meet with him in 2009.

Harmon not only left his "footprint" in Minnesota, but his legacy as a baseball legend has cast a long shadow on America's national pastime. What better way to honor this legend than on a future U.S. postal stamp.

He should be on stamp! He was my favorite when I was young. I got pictures of us two together and of course his autograph. He was definitely a baseball icon!

I had the opportunity to play on the Twins with Harmon for a couple years. You couldn't have asked for a better teammate and class individual.

I had the opportunity to meet Harmon after his playing career was over. Since I had idolized him as a gifted baseball player, it was quite a thrill. But what impressed me most was his kindness, sincerity, and genuineness. He graciously took a picture with me and visited with me for quite some time. A true gentleman. In the community, he worked tirelessly to raise funds to build baseball fields to accommodate youth with disabilities so that they, too, could enjoy the American pastime. I am a 73 year old woman who grew up watching Harmon play for my hometown Minnesota Twins.

I played with and against Harmon for over 7 years and always found him to be above reproach in his character and professionalism. He absolutely deserves this honor.

If ever we needed to recall a hero - it's now! Harmon was a great baseball player, but even a better man!
