Hannibal episode 4
For television fans, the new series Hannibal is a gem among sub par programming offered by network television. At the center of any great television show (especially in a serial-type series) is great story-telling, which Hannibal certainly has. Making the decision to skip an episode in a fictional serial- drama series (especially this early in the run of the show) has the potential to lose viewership. The decision by NBC to skip episode four sacrifices the sanctity of the show and leaves its potential following feeling taken advantage of. We the viewers, your potential die-hard fans (don't over-react by my syntax people!) lose a large piece of the puzzle without the airing of a single episode. NBC stating that the episode being skipped simply won't effect the story line of the show makes one question the quality of the writing staff. NBC, by saying a skipped episode in one of your series doesn't effect the story-line is putting doubt in the mind of your viewers and in the process you are putting down your talent on staff. This petition does not have the intent to change NBC's mind, but rather let our voices be heard. Hannibal is a great show, but NBC you are making poor decisions. Allow the viewer to make the decision if they want to watch or not, but DO NOT alienate your current following. I hope it is not the case, but you may have just lost any chance to make it to a season two.
