Hands off Newquay Hospital

to close newquay hospital would be devestating ,it dont just serve newquay it serves all the villages surrounding newquay, and would if kept open take the pressure off treliske as we all know treliske isnt coping with the demand

It is essential to retain Newquay Hospital at all cost.

This hospital cannot close if anything it should be growing with the demand from the many homes that have gone up around Newquay , treliske can hardly cope and closing this will be a massive mistake . This must not happen.

Please keep this hospital running!! I worked here 2 years ago and would had to see it closed after all the hard work the staff do there to support people in the community.

Of all the stupid, ill-thought ideas, this must be the craziest I've ever heard. Whoever came up with this should hang his/her head in shame - probably from Truro where they have a hospital! It's blindingly obvious to everyone that Newquay's continued growth will see a huge increase in demand for what is an excellent facility with superb staff who we local residents just cannot do without. Without this hospital I may well have lost a finger in an accident a couple of years ago but even on a Sunday I was treated immediately within 10 minutes of the incident - their attention was vital before being taken to Treliske. Why should we do without services like X-rays and physiotherapy? Why should we be forced to always go to Treliske hospital with its limited, expensive parking, many people suffering transport problems getting there when bus services are so poor, just so we can 'enjoy' ever-lengthening waiting times and be exposed to the risk of infection? It's an outrage and everything that can be done must be done to keep our hospital open! Indeed, it should be expanded to cope with the growing demand, especially in the summer when thousands of people come to Newquay and rely on having a local hospital. Thank you.

It is so important that our local hospital remains open for the ever increasing population in the surrounding areas to Newquay. Treliske is straining now without more hospital closures !!

Not enough beds in Treliske and nowhere to transfer patients and they want to close the community hospital!!! Absolute bloody madness!

So much pressure on hospitals and GP'S without closing a required service here. The ever growing population and people living longer, makes this hospital needed now more than ever before. Please don't close it!

This service is so vital to our community my son has used this hospital on many occasions and it also helps relieve some of the pressure off Treliske as well closing this Hospital will be the wrong thing to do

As a former user of the hospital, I believe it is vital to the people of Newquay, and to the thousands of holidaymakers that come to Newquay every year.

With treliske constantly on black alert it would be insane to close this hospital. It is a vital asset to the community.
