We need smaller community hospital to take the pressure off Treliske, also we need to consider the impacts of travel within our county.

We need this hospital. Treliske is always too busy and with Newquay hospital it eases the pressure too.

It is ludicrous to think they are even considering closing Newquay hospital! Especially with the influx of tourists, new houses going up, not to mention us, the local residents. What is this government doing?

Our wonderful nhs staff struggle to cope as it is now. We need MORE community beds because there are not enough for our elderly & disabled now.

My grandad was cared for at Newquay hospital last year after a collision with a car. The care he received was excellent & it meant his wife could visit him every day without having to travel to Truro. It would be a terrible shame to lose this brilliant service!

Cannot agree to closure if such a needed resource, especially with the current growth in Newquay. I cannot see how this will save the NHS any money in the long term.

Newquay hospital is invaluable both as a minor injuries unit and as a rehab facility for people needing physio in order to get home. The staff are kind and caring, many of whom can't drive and so would be unable to be moved elsewhere, leading to job losses. Treliske is too busy to fulfil the need that newquay hospital provides. Having had much dealings with both over the last 6 months I have first hand experience and therefore can speak with an element of authority.

Closing these smaller units Will put more pressure on ambulance services. There are many people who will get themselves to a local unit. But unfortunately will use the ambulance as a taxi if have to get to truro. Still i suppose that's a different Budget. Look at the bigger picture for once.

I find it incredulous that you are considering closing the hospital when on the other hand you are allowing the building of over 4500 thousand new homes around Newquay , maybe if the council spent their budget correctly rather than on say " new utterly ridiculous and expensive bus stops " as an example , clearly this council is not fit for purpose and needs to put the needs of the people first! Again a demonstration of not listening to the voters !!! .

This hospital is desperately needed in Newquay and would be extremely detrimental to the community if this hospital closed.

Surely by closing Newquay this will put Treliske under so much more pressure especially After 1O when they will be the only hospital open
